Many thanks to Riehl World View for this find.
You have never heard the Canon in D played this way, I guarantee!
The kid is korean and he’s doing an rock-and-roll arrangement arrangement by a Taiwanese kid named Jerry C. Jerry’s original version is smooother and more fluid, but The Beast thinks the Korean kid just rocks harder, even though he makes a few mistakes. For some reason the Canon has become fabulously popular in Asia. Perhaps there is anime or soap opera circulating on TV there that uses it as a theme song.

That was EXCELLENT! I’m envious…the only instrument I can play is an air-guitar.
The Hairy Beast LOVES the Canon in D. This version made all his hair stand up on end.
I LOVE THIS!! Just great!!!!!!
It’s grand is it not, Mary?
Somebody must have linked to it in the past few minutes because all of a sudden The Beast has scores of people viewing it.
A pingback sure would be nice. 🙂
Ah … the ol’ Taco Bell Cannon! No, really, Johann Pachelbel would be enormously pleased to hear this, I believe!
As for me, all I can say is WOW that was inspiring!!! I’m a classically-trained non-musician who’s into jazz and classical but never been impressed much with rock ‘n roll … but THIS IS MARVELOUS!!! Thanks for posting it! By the way, found it linked on Free Republic.
🙂 cool, thanks Agapanthus, it was driving me nuts.
It got posted here and that might be the source of the traffic
Let’s try that again with the URL ;-}

Thanks John. Lotta views to that post, very mixed reviews though. Lotta Freepers seem to think combining rock and classic is a sin.
