66 Successful Bloggers and What they can teach you.

This post appears on Bill Belew’s blog, the biz of Knowlege and it is in reference to Ted Demopolous’ new book What No One Ever Tells You About Blogging and Podcasting: Real-Life Advice from 101 People Who Successfully Leverage the Power of the Blogosphere . Serious Bloggers (re: not The Beast) should have a look, it is well written and contains many many valuable links to valuable people. AND in the interest of full disclosure, The Beast just HAPPENS to be number six on this list of 66, and YES he’s in Ted’s book about blogging. Some serious mistake was made, obviously…

If The Beast Blog was successful he would not have a readership roughly equivalent to the number of bathers at Amity Beach the day after the shark ate the little kid. However, while The Beast does not have a surfeit of readers he definitely enjoys a surfeit of opinions, and his opinion is that everybody must rush out and purchase Ted’s tome. It will not only make you a better Blogger, it will make you a more SUCCESSFUL one. Do not take this blog as an example – a lot of the guys in Ted’s Book actually make a living at this stuff!

On a related note, if you are ever contacted by a writer and asked for an interview, refuse to do it over the telephone. If your ideas are worth writing down they must be worth the price of a half dozen chicken wings and three pitchers of Killians Red. The Beast did this and he made out fine – Ted got most of the wings and The Beast got most of the beer.
